--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- --- ACTIVITY OF SPACES - CYBRID PROJECT --- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- David Wiltshire david_wiltshire@hotmail.com www.david-wiltshire.co.uk Ashley Bennett agentash@hotmail.com www.createuk.co.uk --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Setting up the projector: 1) Place the projector anywhere conveinient on the server 2) Start the projector and choose the use random data options for building and server data. 3) Enter output paths for where the images should go: - c:\serverdata\cube.jpg - MacHDName:cube.jpg 4) Choose the file type you want the low-res image to be using the option boxes. MAKE SURE THE FILEPATHS REFLECT THIS!!! ie. cube.jpeg / cube.png etc The larger image will always be a jpg. This cannot be changed from within the projector 5) Choose the time delay between updates (often as possible really, 10 minutes or less?) 6) Click the launch Cybrid button 7) Simply leave the projector running and it will continue to update automatically What its doing: 1) The projector creates a 3D scene to maniptulate 2) Random data is generated to simulate data from the building and server 3) The data is translated into a change in the 3D scene 4) Once the change is made, the image is captured and exported to the specified directories 5) The program then waits the specified time until the next update. What we now need is for you to make it so when the small image is exported, it is converted to a WBMP that will be compatible with older WAP phones. So that our html and wml code works, please make sure the final output images end up as cubelrg.jpg for the large image cube.jpg for the colour version of the small image cube.wbmp for the black and white version of the small image --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
