…models the dark territory within the Portland Square building, specifically in and around the i-DAT SoftLab. Mobile phone dark territory is a particular problem in the building as the metal I-beam girder construction creates a Faraday cage which can dynamically effect signal reception within a few centimetres. Phonebooth provides a dynamic map of the changes taken at three levels across the space of SoftLab.
